oh. happy. day.

Today is a good day...if you're a Vikings' fan (yes, I am).  I'm feeling a little like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz after the Wicked Witch has had the bucket of hot water thrown on her.  No disrespect to Mr. Childress (and by NO means do I want to see him suffer the fate of the Wicked Witch), but it was time for him to go.  More than time.  And today, Ziggy Wilf made it happen. Thank you, Ziggy. Leslie Frazier is the interim coach and we can move on from what has been a heartbreaking season (something we Viking fans are used to, but never expect). 

Now, I did hear reports that our green & gold rivals friends across the border are boasting that they are single-handedly responsible for the firing of 2 head coaches this year (Dallas & Minnesota).  If, in fact, this was the straw that broke the camel's back & caused the firing of Childress, I will offer the moldy, cheese wedge wearing group Packers this sentiment (listen closely as I will only say this ONCE)...thank you!

Oh, and by the way Packer fans (that's you Brady), we could have won the game on Sunday, but our players chose the sacrifice bunt...letting you win to ensure the release of Chilly!

By the way, the lumpy dumpy smiley face at the top of this post is a cake pop that I made attempted to make on Sunday (before I knew about the firing).  If you have patience, time and a lot more baking skills than I do, I would highly recommend trying out a version of these tasty treats..
